Quebec Provincial Nominee Program Invites 233 Immigration Candidates via Arrima Draw

In the latest draw held by Quebec PNP on December 16- 233, immigration candidates were issued invitations to apply for permanent residence. The draw was held through Arrima Expression of Interest. Invitations were issued to applicants who had an expression of interest in Quebec’s online immigration portal, Arrima. 

Quebec is not a part of Canada’s provincial nominee programs. The French-speaking province runs its immigration program for applicants interested in immigrating to Quebec. 

Quebec’s Ministry of Immigration, Francisation and Integration [Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration] conducts rounds of invitations regularly, as per the local market requirements and the integration potential of immigrants.
 
Selected applicants who have received their invitations in this draw can now apply for a Canada PR visa and get a Québec Selection Certificate. The certificate can be applied within six months.
 
Two categories of candidates were invited in this draw- the first group of people needed to have a validated job offer letter. The second group includes people who have stayed in Quebec as a diplomat, consular officer, or a representative of the United Nations or any intergovernmental organizations carrying out operations in the province of Quebec. The draw also considered applicants who worked as staff in any of these organizations. 
 
To receive an invitation from Quebec provincial nominee program, candidates needed to have an expression of interest through the Arrima portal. The Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) assesses these profiles and grants invitations to those who fulfill the eligibility criteria based on the labor market needs of the province.
 
Quebec immigration programs are unique from other immigration programs run by the government of Canada. The province’s selection criteria and process are entirely different.
