The province of Nova Scotia has issued Letters of Interest to registered nurses for a provincial nomination with profiles in the Express Entry system in its latest PNP draw, which was held on May 22, 2020. Nursing candidates who have received the invitation in yesterday’s draw had selected registered nurse (NOC 3012) as their primary occupation while creating their express entry profile. The selected applicants are now eligible to submit an official application for Canada permanent residence through the
Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program.
Though, the province has released the details of the eligibility criteria for the draw, it has not yet disclosed the number of applicants who have received the letter of interest.
To be eligible for the May 22nd draw, the following requirements must be met:
•
The primary occupation must have been selected as registered nurse-NOC 3012 from the
Canada NOC list.
• Meet at least 3 years of work experience requirement of the Express Entry stream for which you have qualified. Also, submit letters of reference from your employers.
• Have a valid express entry profile and meet all IRCC specific requirements;
• Have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 8 or higher in English or French in all language abilities; and
• Bachelor’s degree or completion of a program of 3 or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institutes.
Successful applicants are required to submit copies of all required documents within 60 calendar days from the date of invitation received. Once the province of Nova Scotia agrees with your application, you will be entitled to get 600 additional points over your existing
comprehensive ranking system score. An addition of 600 points can increase your chances of getting an invitation to apply for Canada permanent residence in the next express entry draw.
