Good news for the Canada immigration motivated aspirants, especially those keen to move to the destination under the popular and widely used International Experience Canada (IEC) Programme!
From October 17, 2016 the scheme has reportedly become available for the 2017 season, offering the nationals of 32 nations that have a reciprocal accord with the Maple Leaf Country the chance to reside and do a job in the country, on an impermanent ground. Qualified applicants can generate a profile and gain admission into the pool for their nations and stream.
The IEC scheme is categorized into three classes, namely, Working Holiday, Young Professionals, and International Co-op even while depending on an aspirant’s nation of citizenship and personal situations, over one of the said streams could be obtainable to the aspirant.
For the past couple of years, the IEC scheme has turned out to be extensively popular among the global youngsters. Several people, who shift to the hotspot on an IEC Work Permit, eventually live longer, every so often permanently, after they receive a taste for all that the Maple Leaf Country has to provide. Other IEC participants take the chance to make a trip to the different parts of the country over the course of their IEC involvement.
Entitled applicants can create a profile, post which they can get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for an open Work Permit. The latest IEC application arrangement that became effective during the year gone by the 2016 season is being maintained for 2017. Under the arrangement, the plan reportedly runs on an Expression of Interest/Invitation to Apply form.
Though it is possible for the eligible applicants to produce an IEC profile, it is mandatory that they get an ITA before they may present a petition. Still, unlike the ITA-based structure used in some other schemes (like Express Entry); there is not any ranking arrangement involved.
Actually, each & every applicant in a given pool has an equal probability of being given an ITA in any specific round of invitations (also called 'draws'). Against this backdrop, the interested people would do well to enter their given pool sooner than later, by this means exposing them to a higher figure of draws and boosting their possibilities of being given an ITA.
At present, the specific dates of the first rounds of the invitations for every nation and class, together with the quotas, have not still been made public.
The Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the concerned body, runs the IEC scheme. It proffers not less than five days notice prior to the final rounds of invitations for any given nation and stream, before the closing of a pool at the close of a given season.
As per reports, the IRCC, by and large, processes the complete petitions inside a period eight weeks.
