In a second Express Entry draw on April 9th, 2020 a total number of 3,294 invitations to apply were issued by the Canadian government for permanent residence in Canada. This draw has targeted prospective applicants belonging to the Canadian Experience Class of Canada’s Express Entry System category of economic class of immigration programs. This is one of a kind rare Express entry draw that has taken place in the same day itself, having the most minimum of Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement way back since October of 2019.
This latest draw was fourth consecutive program-specific Express Entry draw as well as the second one to take place in less than a month’s duration. This Express Entry draw has specially chosen applicants belonging to the Canadian Experience Class. This category of immigration program is basically open to prospective candidates who have a minimum of one year of work experience in Canada, among other criteria’s of eligibility.
On the same lines, Canadian government has gone ahead and issued invitees to a total number of 606 Express Entry Provincial nominee program applicants, who have applied for Permanent Resident Canada.
The Express Entry system is one of the core sources of inviting skilled professional overseas workers to the nation. An eligible prospective candidate once they have created their profile in the pool of applicants, are issued a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. Points will be based on multiple human capital factors of age, skilled work experience, proficiency in English or French language, educational qualifications as well as additional factors such as arranged employment and factors surrounding adaptability.
High scorers in this point system are then sent an Invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada during the time of regular draws from the pool by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The total number of 3,294 ITAs that were issued by the IRCC in this recent Express Entry Draw has brought the total number of invitees for Canadian permanent residence in 2020 to a staggering 26, 500.
Despite COVID-19 measures, the IRCC continues to conduct these scheduled Express Entry rounds of invitations on a regular basis.
