British Columbia invites 133 applicants under B.C. PNP Tech Pilot Draw

In its fourth draw of the month on 26th May 2020, British Columbia has issued 133 invitations to the applicants under its British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program Tech Pilot Draw for Canadian Permanent Residence. The British Columbia’s technology sector has the employment records of the highest level and is a dominant factor of its economic growth. In order to supplement the demand of tech skills jobs in the province, B.C. Tech Pilot Draw has been inviting migrants for the 29 tech occupations.

In this draw, the categories invited are SI – Skilled Worker, SI- International Graduate, EEBC – Skilled Worker and EEBC – International Graduate, where SI stands for Skills Immigration and EEBC for Express Entry British Columbia. The minimum score for each category remained 80.

The B.C. PNP Tech pilot program is characterized by four features of service, timeliness, prioritization and engagement in response to the needs of the tech industry of the province. As a service, B.C. PNP takes care of the tech employers that they get the valid information and help them in navigating through the right immigration program and process. Timely conduct of the draws do not keep aspirants waiting for long. It prioritizes the applications to meet the sector’s fast paced demand and finally supports tech employees by ensuring their engagement and participation at key industry events.

The B.C. Tech Pilot Draw invites the candidates who have one-year full time job offer in an eligible tech occupation. Earlier the requirement was of permanent full time job offer. Also, the offer must be valid for at least 120 days at the time of submission of application to the PNP. They must meet the general and category requirements as under the PNP.
