In its latest draw, the province of British Columbia has invited a total of 87 candidates through its BC PNP Tech Pilot draw on June 23. The invitations have been issued to skilled workers and international graduates candidates with a job offer in one of 29 targeted occupations in the technology sector. Selected applicants can apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residency status in Canada.
The June 23rd draw featured the invitations being issued under the following categories:
• SI – Skilled Worker
• SI – International Graduate
• EEBC – Skilled Worker
• EEBC – International Graduate
The BC PNP Tech Pilot is a popular immigration pathway for skilled technology works who want to permanently relocate to British Columbia. The program is managed under the cap of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program. The program offers a fast-track immigration route to in-demand tech workers and international students. The tech pilot program was initially launched in 2017, which has now been extended till June 2021. The program addresses the labor shortage needs of the province and allows the employers of British Columbia to hire and retain tech talent across the world.
In order to be apply, you must register your profile in one of B.C’s provincial nominee programs and have a valid job offer at least one year (365 days), and the job offer must have at least 120 days remaining at the time of application to the
BC PNP.
Applicants under the skilled immigration or Express Entry category must create an online profile through To apply for the Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC categories candidates must first create a profile through the BC PNP’s online portal and register under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) and register themselves in its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
Every profile in the portal is assessed and evaluated based on various parameters, such as age, education, work experience, language skills, etc. The highest ranking profile will be issued an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination under the
Canada PNP program.
