As a part of the normal practice of conducting draws to invite immigrants to the province of British Columbia in Canada under British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program, a new draw took place of 07th August 2020. In this draw, applicants have been invited under the Skilled Immigration and Express Entry British Columbia. The details of each category and the minimum scores are as below –
SI – Skilled Worker, Minimum Score – 97
SI – International Graduate, Minimum Score – 98
SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled, Minimum Score – 76
EEBC – Skilled Worker, Minimum Score – 97
EEBC – International Graduate, Minimum Score – 98
Here, SI stands for Skilled International and EEBC for Express Entry British Columbia
The highest scoring candidates in each of these categories are being invited under the BC PNP to apply for the provincial nomination. Once they have been granted the provincial nomination, these candidates can apply for the permanent residence of Canada with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
With provincial nomination, it becomes convenient for the interested immigrants to migrate to Canada. The reason being, a provincial nomination adds 600 points straight to the overall Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) scores of the candidate in the Express Entry Pool. With this huge surge in scores, the candidate is likely to be invited for the permanent residence in the subsequent draws. Due to this, provincial nomination programs have gained huge popularity and there have been continuous draws from almost all the provinces of Canada to invite applicants from time to time.
What comes as a great motivation to the prospective applicants is that there have been huge demand for immigrants even in the pandemic times. The process went on as per normal procedures and thousands of candidates were invited in the past few months. The trend still continues and as a matter of fact British Columbia has held the largest number of draws under its British Columbia Provincial Nomination Program during the pandemic. It has even extended its BC PNP Tech Pilot Program until June next year. When Canada welcomes immigrants with open arms, it would be prudent to grab the opportunity at the right time.
