In its latest Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand Saskatchewan PNP draw held on 28th November, the province of Saskatchewan issued 460 Invitations to Apply to skilled workers. These invited were send out to prospective candidates in order for them to apply via provincial nomination for permanent residence in Canada.
The federal government created Canada Express Entry is linked to the sub category of the Canada PNP of Saskatchewan also known as Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). This Federal skilled program manages three major Canadian economic class immigration programs namely the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.
You will be glad to know that a total number of 200 candidates were invited for this latest Saskatchewan PNP Draw. Those candidates or applicants who apply for and get a provincial nomination from the province of Saskatchewan are granted an extra 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. If this happens, you can be sure of securing a guaranteed Invitation to Apply for permanent residence in Canada.
The sub category of Occupations In-Demand is open for even those prospective applicants who have not made their Canada Express entry profiles. A total of 260 Occupations In-Demand candidates were sent out invitees for a provincial nomination. The Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand sub-categories do not need for the candidates to have a job offer from Saskatchewan.
One of the requirements to qualify to apply for Canada permanent residence via these categories is that you must have at least one year of work experience in an eligible skilled occupation that is present on the Canada Occupation List of the province you are applying for, or that which is related to their field of interest or study.
But the first step you must take in order to be even considered for a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan is either via either of its sub-categories, you should register for an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the SINP. EOIs that are eligible for both the sub-categories are awarded a score of 100, that is based on SINP’s International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid.
