Manitoba’s Latest Immigration Draw Invites 221 Skilled Workers for Permanent Residence

The province of Manitoba has issued 221 Letters of Advice in its latest immigration draw held on December 19, 2019. The draw invited candidates who applied through Skilled Worker in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas, and International Education Stream. Candidates for the skilled worker category received a total of 149 invitations, with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 542 points. Whereas applicants for the International Education and Skilled Worker Overseas were issued 17 Letters of Advice respectively. The lowest-ranked Skilled Worker Overseas candidates scored 559 points.

All applicants who have received the Letters of Advice can apply further for the Manitoba Provincial Nomination for Canadian permanent residence. Invitations issued under Skilled Worker and Skilled Worker Overseas category were on based on candidates’ declaration of a valid Express Entry ID and a Job Seeker Validation Code.

Foreign skilled workers who wish to apply for Manitoba PNP through either Skilled Worker or Skilled Worker Overseas must lodge a create an online Express Entry Profile, which will be then entered into a pool of eligible candidates.

All profiles in Express Entry are ranked on the basis of various eligibility factors, such as age, education, work experience, language proficiency, connections or social ties to Manitoba, etc. 

Express entry profiles are ranked against each other, and the highest-scoring candidates are awarded a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) from the government of MPNP. Applicants with an LAA may then submit an official application for Canada immigration.

Applicants who have received invitations in this round and a provincial nomination are eligible to receive an additional 600 points on their existing CRS Score. Having a nomination for the provincial government is a guarantee of an invitation to apply, which further strengthens your chances of getting permanent residence.
