If there is a box full of surprises, then Express Entry draws are what giving you jolts of happy surprises. Just two days, have witnessed two bumper draws that just turns the CRS tide in your favour. The recent draw saw invitees for permanent residence for Canada being sent to a total number of 3,782 immigration applicants and their families.
These invitations to Apply for permanent residence in Canada, were mainly issued to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System or CRS scores as low as 455 on April 16, 2020.
The present draw precedes the 118 ITAs that were already issued to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applicants. This has brought the total number of Invitations to be issued to a total of 3,900 applicants over the recent days.
You will be surprised to know that this will be a fourth draw that will exclusively target applicants from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program. The reason that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has chosen to invite the CEC applicants, is because they are already residing in Canada, because of the present coronavirus outbreak.
A total of 30,400 ITAs have been issued in 2020 so far, out of which a total of which 85,300 were issued via Express Entry in 2019. The Government of Canada under its 2020-2022 Immigration Levels Plan, is targeting the admission of a minimum of 341,000 immigrants in 2020, 351,000 in 2021, and another 361,000 in 2022. By the year of 2022, the PNP admissions will set to surge by 20 percent.
The most recent draw witnessed the tie-breaking rule which was implemented on January 20, 2020. Which means all those applicants with a CRS score of 455, and have submitted their Express Entry profiles prior to this date have received their ITA in this invitation round. This was the eleventh round of invitations under Express Entry during 2020 and overall it was 144th.
Much of the Express Entry Daws involved applicants from all the three classes with the present draw being one of the rare exceptions to this rule.
